No accounts, ever
MadeinBim never asks you to register, sign up, or create a password to browse the showcase, search for projects, or submit your own. There is no user database of visitor accounts, and there never will be — this is a deliberate design decision, not a missing feature.
What we collect, and why
If you submit a project for the showcase, we collect the project details you provide (name, description, images, tech stack, links) and your contact email address. Your email is used for exactly one purpose: sending you a single link to confirm your submission and, later, to edit it. That link is a unique, single-use, time-limited token — not a username or password — and we never share your email address publicly or with any third party.
If your project is approved, the project details you provided (excluding your email address) become publicly visible on the showcase, exactly as intended — that's the point of submitting.
Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies only: one to remember your light/dark theme preference, and — solely for the small team of platform administrators who review submissions — a session cookie that keeps them signed in. Neither is used for advertising, tracking, or analytics, and visitors browsing or submitting to the showcase never receive a tracking cookie of any kind.
Where your data lives
Submission data is stored in a managed Postgres database with row-level security enforced at the database layer. Uploaded images are stored via a managed file storage provider and served over HTTPS. We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
